Morris Paul Lippens

Paul Lippens received formal training in music composition and performance at Hampshire College in Massachusetts studying with Detroit born composer and instrumentalist Yusef Lateef.   He was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and raised in New England and Michigan.  Paulspent the better part of a decade developing his craft in the Berkshires, where he was first introduced to old-time music.

   

His goal in founding Paul's Big Radio is to encourage listeners to reintroduce themselves to music and to turn trivial radio songs into folk art, one song at a time.  Paul is an urban planner, specializing in transportation and urban design. He sings and plays, piano, organ, mandolin and guitar forPaul's Big Radio. Paul is a frequent contributor on mandolin to the Michigan-based roots ensemble Rootstand and he played guitar with the Chicago country-blues band Bobby Holly and the Ricket's.


Joshua Andrew Killom

Josh received formal training in guitar performance from an early exposure to Jimi Hendrix and Black Sabbath records. Seriously, no one knows where it comes from but legend has it Josh bought the some guitar soul cheep at pawnshop in Tucson.  He has played guitar for in Michigan rock bands since the age of 16. Credits include, Mr. Freedom's X, Groove Monkey Atmosphere, and Big City Blackout. Josh teaches school in Pinkney. 

He sings and plays guitar for Paul's Big Radio.

  

Jerry Hancock

Jerry is a self-taught musician who has toned his craft playing in several bands over the last decade, most notably Corndaddy, Ann Arbor Americana icons, and The Glen Levin's.  Jerry works as a planner/naturalist for the City of Ann Arbor. 

He plays bass guitar for Paul's Big Radio.

 

Jim Weyman

Jim Weyman is an American musician, best known as "the quietest drummer that I've ever played with". After some time playing with the Milan Concert, Symphonic and Marching bands, he found himself in a Hullabaloo. Musical genre influences are: rock, rock 'n' roll, hard rock, classic rock, soft rock, hillbilly rock, folk rock, country rock, blues rock, progressive rock, new wave rock and Barry Manilow.

He plays drums for Paul's Big Radio.
